Original & rare Regency period (circa 1810) telescopic & painted tilt top ebonised occasional table
Incredibly beautiful, unusual, original and dates to the late George III, or early Regency period. English 1810 or thereabouts
The tables telescopic mechanism lifts to standing height and is adjustable to any level
Approximately 29 inches tall at its lowest height and 47 inches tall at its highest (plus anywhere in between)
The painted top tilts and swivels, meaning the table can be displayed as a piece of art whilst not in use - these rare tables were sometimes used as fire screens. Adjustable to protect the sitter against the direct heat of the fire.
The condition is superb, nicely patinated, untouched and un-restored. There is some peeling of the brass bound feet and one brass decorative button is missing (not noticeable)
A remarkable table - delivery arranged anywhere in the UK
